Prelusion was founded in 1996 with its primary objective to create high quality games for a world-wide market. The company’s first in-house developed product, Gilbert Goodmate, was finished in late 2000 and has since been published in a dozen countries world-wide.

Between 2001 and 2003 the company worked on several different pilot projects such as No Man's Land, Resistance, Hautings, and the more progressed We Come In Peace. The company's second in-house developed title, Jack Murphy NYPD, was also released and a number of corporate games such as Wild West Christmas was developed.

The company's third in-house developed title, Timmy the Ghost and the Treasure Hunt, was finished in late 2003 and has so far been published in half a dozen countries. This product was designed from start to be part of a series of products featuring Timmy the Ghost. Prelusion are planning to develop and release sequel titles in the years to come.

During the first half of 2004 the company went into the publishing industry for a brief period of time. The idea was to publish both its own titles as well as third party titles. In mid 2004 Prelusion started work on their first localization projects consisting of 6 Reader Rabbit titles and 3 Garfield titles, in 4 languages each. This rendered in a total of 36 new titles for the Scandinavian market in early 2006.

The company then started its fourth in-house project, the production of a brand-new Moomin game entitled Moomin and the Mysterious Howling. The game was finished in time for christmas 2006, with localized versions being released early 2007. This is the first out of 6 titles to be developed in the new Moomin series. Each title will be developed in 4 languages making it a total of 24 new titles.

In 2007 the company released two more in-house developed titles. The first being Snutten followed by the second title in the Moomin series Moomin and the Great Autumn Party. In addition 6 more titles were localized into several of the Nordic languages. A new addition to the
Reader Rabbit series was localized: Reader Rabbit English. Three new series was started with the first being Clifford Musical Memory Games followed by Freddi Fish and the Case of the Missing Kelp Seeds. Finally a new series aimed towards mainly girls was started with the two titles Wendy Tournament with Trouble and Wendy Saving Star being the first to hit the market. The final product localized in 2007 was the title Cluefinders 5th grade.

2008 holds several promising in-house projects as well as 3rd party productions and localizations. This will further s
trengthen the company's aim to work only with high quality children's titles.
